Ultrasonic welding of plastic parts

We offer many different methods to join plastics, but ultrasonic welding is often the best choice, especially when cosmetics and precision are essential.

Ultrasonic welding uses high-frequency acoustic vibrations to melt the plastics in a specific area and create a seamless joint. The weld takes place in a fraction of a second.

There are many advantages to this method:

• Strong and uniform joint quality
• Strict control over dimension qualities
• Seamless cosmetic appearance
• No chance of contamination
• No additional materials required
• Easy to automate
• No ventilations system required

This method is also excellent for small or complex parts where traditional welding methods are inapplicable.

The only disadvantage is that large parts such as an automobile chassis cannot be ultrasonically welded because the energy required would be prohibitive.
